Liko develops, manufactures and markets patient lifts. Liko lifts are backed up by the market's widest assortment of accessories. The head office is in Luleå, Norrbotten, Sweden.
Liko was founded in 1977 by Gunnar Liljedahl, engineer and designer. He worked as a problem-solver for patients having special needs for assistive devices. Gunnar began producing and selling these products so others could benefit from his ingenious inventions. Liko was born.
Liko's big breakthrough came in 1981 with the Liko Masterlift. A breakthrough which meant the company could expand into what it is today one of the world leaders in lifting and transferring disabled people.
